Local Heaven | Our Favorite Restaurants on the Jersey Shore
It is our favorite time of the year - summer! We live for this time of the year - to be outside whether it is riding our beach cruisers to the Monmouth Beach Bathing Pavilion to lounge on our beach chairs, go for drinks with friends, or grab a bite to eat at our favorite restaurants. So with all of that in mind we thought it would be fitting to let you in on our little secret… our favorite local restaurants!
We will start with breakfast, since they say it is the most important meal of the day! Our favorite local breakfast spot is Apple Street Kitchen, located in Tinton Falls, NJ. The atmosphere here is just as good as the food. They have their own gardens where they grow seasonal fruits and vegetables for their dishes (and the best spot to eat in our opinion!). They also source all their ingredients locally from farm fresh eggs to locally grown mushrooms and so much more. Next time you stop in, try the Spring Vegetable Frittata with a French Press Coffee and if you feel up for it get the Sea Salt Milk Chocolate Cookie for dessert… Yes, dessert with breakfast!
Next stop, lunch. Our personal favorite spot is Branch Cantina, located in Long Branch, NJ. This Mexican restaurant is beach side so if you are able to snag a spot outside we definitely recommend it - however, inside is just as fun with a beautifully designed interior. A few of our favorite dishes include the Barbacoa Tacos, Nachos For The Table, and the Crispy Tuna Rice accompanied with a Marg De La Casa! Trust us you will want to try this spot ;)
Are you full yet… No? Good - because the next spot is another Monmouth Beach local - Beach Tavern! This restaurant is a crowd favorite so make sure you make a reservation. Beach Tavern changes out their menu seasonally (Please bring back the Eggplant Cavatelli!) so there is always something new to try. Currently our favorite dishes include the Buffalo Octopus, BT Wings, and the Monmouth Beach Sushi Roll; for dessert we always opt for an Espresso Martini! Stop by on the weekend to enjoy live music, outside on the waterfront.
Last but not least (we had to add in a pizza spot because who doesn’t love a good slice?!), Sea Bright Pizzeria and Restaurant, located in Sea Bright, NJ. Whether you are having pizza delivered to the beach or your house this spot is a must try. We always start with garlic knots to munch on while we chat over a homemade cocktail; then we make sure to order our favorite pies - The Christian’s Pie, White Pie, and Cono’s Famous Eggplant Pizza. Talk about the perfect way to spend your Friday night with family and friends, right!?
Of course there are so many delicious restaurants down the shore but these are some of our personal favorites in Monmouth County. We hope you enjoy them as much as we do.
